Junior Hannah Mackey of the Utica College field hockey team was named the Utica College Female Athlete of the Week on Monday.
Mackey had a hand in four of Utica's five goals in a win over Houghton on Saturday. She had three assists, including one on the game-winner, and netted her conference-leading sixth goal of the season.Â
On the year, Mackey leads the Empire 8 in goals, points (15), points per game (3.00), and is tied for first in assists (3). She is currently tied for fourth place on the college's all-time scoring list (88 points) and needs 12 points to become just the second 100-point scorer in UC history.
The Pioneers hit the road on Wednesday as they visit SUNY Geneseo for a 4 p.m. game.
