Sophomore Raphael Warnon of the Utica College swimming and diving team was named the College’s male athlete of the week on Monday.

Warnon picked up the victory in two events to lead UC to the 131-89 win over Wells College on Saturday. The sophomore nailed down a convincing victory in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:06.49, and also won the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:09.16. In all, Warnon scored 18 of UC’s points on Saturday.

The Pioneers return to the pool Saturday as they visit Cazenovia College. The meet begins at 1 p.m.
