UTICA, NY -- Sophomore Mikey Maxwell of the Utica College swim team was named the College’s female athlete of the week after her stellar performance in the Pioneers tri-meet Saturday against SUNY Cobleskill and Nazareth College.

The Pioneers split the tri-meet as they defeated SUNY Cobleskill 151-118 and lost to Nazareth 209-59. Maxwell finished first in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 27:44 and second in the 100 yard freestyle as she clocked a time of 1:00.93.

With the help of freshmen Grace Gallentine, Phoebe King and Aly Baribault, Maxwell also placed first in the 200 yard medley with a time of 2:26:24.

The Pioneers are back in the Utica College pool at 2 p.m. Saturday as they host St. Lawrence University.
