UTICA, NY- Senior Ryan Watson of the Utica College baseball team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week after helping lead the Pioneers to a 6-2 record in Florida for spring training this past week.

            Over the course of the week Watson went 7-for-18 with a triple, seven RBI’s and six runs scored including the game winner in the bottom of the seventh in game one against Crown College (3/17/15). On the mound Watson threw for six innings, handing out four strikeouts and allowing only three hits and three runs.

            The Pioneers return to New York with an overall record of 6-2. The team opens up Empire 8 Conference play this weekend as it travels to Hoboken, NJ for a weekend set against Stevens Institute of Technology.
