UTICA, NY- Utica College junior wide receiver Jerred Beniquez has been named the college’s Male Athlete of the Week for his performance against Ithaca College on Saturday.
 
Beniquez had six catches for 41 yards and also recorded the game winning touchdown catch in overtime against nationally ranked #17/19 Ithaca College, to give the Pioneers a 30-27 victory on Homecoming.  
 
Beniquez is currently ranked 10^th in the Empire 8 Conference in receiving yards per game (64.2). He is also ranked first in the conference in receptions (36), and second in receptions per game (7.2). Beniquez has totaled 36 catches for 321 yards and three touchdowns.
 
The Pioneers will hit the road Saturday for their next game against SUNY Brockport. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
