UTICA, NY- Utica College men's hockey sophomore Alex Brissette has been named the College’s male athlete of the week for his performance on Friday against Castleton University.
 
Brissette had two goals for the Pioneers, including a goal seven seconds into the game, which is the second fastest goal to start a game in Division III men’s hockey history. Brissette scored again in the third period, short-handed, to help the Pioneers to a convincing 5-2 win.
 
Brissette now leads the team in goals (two), and is tied for the team lead in points (two) on the young season.
 
The Pioneers will be back in action on Friday when they travel to Rochester, NY to open up ECAC West Conference action against Nazareth College. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
