Byamungu Mugushu has been named a Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of October 13th, 2025. This is his second Pioneer honor of the season. 

Mugushu continued his epic season and career with a four-goal performance over the Pioneers' last two games. The Utica forward scored a hat trick in their 10/8 home match with Russell Sage. This was the second of his career and his third multi-goal game of the 2025 season. Mugushu added a goal on a penalty kick in the team's most recent matchup, bringing his career points total to 78 and tying Utica's program record.

Mugushu and the men's soccer team will continue their Empire 8 campaign this Wednesday at Hartwick, before welcoming Nazareth to Casamento Field this Saturday.
