UTICA, NY- Utica College junior distance swimmer, Chris Halsey, has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for his performance in last weekend’s meets against Bard College and Wells College.

Halsey placed first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:13.06, while also placing first in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:27.04, helping the Pioneers to a 131-112 win over Bard College and a 168-67 win over Wells College.

The Pioneers will be on the road for their next meet, as they travel to Cazenovia, NY to take on Cazenovia College on Friday. The events are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
