UTICA, NY – Junior Keira Goin of the women’s ice hockey team was named the College’s female athlete of the week for her performance in two games over the weekend. 
 
Goin became the first player in program history to record a shutout in three straight games as she blanked SUNY Cortland in two games last weekend. On Saturday, she made 17 saves in a 3-0 win over the Red Dragons. She followed that up with 23 saves in a 1-0 victory on Sunday to earn the sweep. On the season she has a .960 save percentage, 1.00 goals against average, and her four shutouts this year tie the College’s single-season record. 
 
The Pioneers (8-2-1 overall, 5-2-1 ECAC West) travel to take on Morrisville State College on Wednesday night. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
