Senior Mary Miceli of the women’s basketball team was named the College’s female athlete of the week for her performance on Wednesday.
Miceli had a game high 20 points in a 60-58 come from behind victory over Morrisville. She had one 3-pointer, was 9-12 in free throws, added five rebounds, and one assist.
Recently Miceli recently became the 11th player in program history to have 1,000 points or more (1,037) and is one of six players to have 100 + career three pointers (138). She needs only seven more 3-pointers to move into second place on the schools all-time 3-pointers made list.
The Pioneers (4-4 overall, 0-0 Empire 8) are back in action on Wednesday December 30th as they host Union. The game is scheduled for 4 p.m.
