Ivan Iton of the men’s basketball team was named the College’s male athlete of the week for his performance last week.
 
Iton had a double-double against Alfred on Tuesday scoring 13 points while pulling down 18 rebounds. He also added three assists and one steal while shooting 4 of 12 from the field and 5 of 8 from the free throw line. He had 12 points to go along with six rebounds, three blocks, one assist, and one steal against Stevens on Thursday.
 
He leads the team in rebounds (77), while being second on the team in blocks (10) and assists (15) so far this season.
 
The Pioneers (3-7 overall, 0-2 Empire 8) return to the court Tuesday afternoon as they host Hartwick College. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.
