UTICA, NY- Freshman Elizabeth Swasey of the Utica College women’s track and field team was named the College’s athlete of the week, Monday, after her record-breaking performance last weekend.

Swasey set a new personal best and a program record with her vault of 3.15 meters at the Harold T. and Bernadette Clark Invitational meet at Utica College on Saturday. All three jumps of Swasey’s were new personal records, capping off with her school record on her third attempt.

The Pioneers return to action Saturday January 23 when they travel across town to Hamilton College. The meet is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.
