UTICA, NY- Freshman Dominic Castiglia of the Utica College men’s lacrosse team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week on Monday for his performance on the field on Sunday.
 
Castiglia netted a career-high six goals in Utica’s loss to Alfred on Sunday.  Castiglia now has 14 goals in his last three starts. He leads the team with 24 goals and 32 points on the season. He is tied for eighth in the conference in goals per game (2.40) and he is also tied for ninth for points per game (3.20).
 
UC is 2-8 on the season and 1-2 in the E8. The Pioneers return home for the first of a two-game home stand when as they host Nazareth College on Wednesday for an Empire 8 contest at 4 p.m.
