UTICA, NY- Freshman Tim Quinlan of the Utica College baseball team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week on Monday for his performance on the diamond last week.
Quinlan went 6-for-15 over four games last week with four runs, four RBIs, two walks, and a stolen base. He was 2-for-7 with three runs scored and one stolen base in back-to-back wins against conference opponent Ithaca College on Saturday. On the year, he has a .425 batting average, 14 RBIs, six runs scored, six doubles, three stolen bases, and one triple.
The Pioneers are currently 4-16 overall with a 4-8 conference record. Utica has eight road games this week including a three game matchup against conference opponent SUNY Canton on Saturday and Sunday. Utica will first face Oneonta at 4 p.m. on Tuesday before a doubleheader against SUNY Poly (2 p.m.) on Wednesday and a doubleheader against Hilbert College (1 p.m.) on Friday.
