UTICA, NY – Freshman Keanu Heedram of the Utica College men’s track and field team was named the College’s Male Athlete of the week on Monday.
 
Heedram set a new school-record with a toss of 47.54 meters in the men's discuss to take home second place at the Cardinal Classic hosted by St. John Fisher on Saturday.
 
He is currently ranked 45^th on the NCAA DIII Qualifying list in the shot put (15.34m) and 25^th in the discus (47.54m).
 
The Pioneers travel to Troy, NY for the NYSCTC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on May 5^th and May 6^th … On Friday (5/5/16) the meet starts at 2 p.m. while on Saturday (5/6/16) the meet starts at 10 a.m.
