Utica University Athletics

Erik Winberg from the men's cross-country team was selected on Monday as Utica College's Male Athelete of the Week. He was also recognized by the conference, being named the Empire 8 Male Runner of the Week.

As the Pioneers competed at the Hamilton College Tune-up meet on October 22^nd, Erik Winberg was the first on the team to finish. Out of a field of 90 runners, Winberg finished in second place with a time of 16:29.5 in the 5k. His performance helped Utica earn second place as a team at the meet.
 
Winberg and his teammates will be competing again on October 29^th, as they will compete at the Empire 8 Championships. The men are scheduled to start at 11:45 a.m.
