Utica University Athletics

UTICA, NY- Junior Kevin Valenti of the Utica College men’s hockey team was selected on Monday as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week.
 
Valenti scored two goals and had one assist in the team’s 6-2 victory over Fredonia State on Friday.  He also scored another goal in the team’s home opener and 6-4 victory against Plymouth State on Saturday.  Valenti now has a team-high three goals and five points this season.  All three goals came on special teams with two power play tallies and one short-handed goal. 
 
The Pioneers are off to a 2-0 start and they will play their first ECAC West Conference opponent, Neumann University, Friday at 7 p.m.
