Freshman jumper Clarence Skipper of the Utica College Track and Field team has been selected the college’s Male Athlete of the Week for his performance at the 2017 ECAC Track and Field Championships.

Skipper broke the school-record in the triple jump with a distance of 14.46 meters to earn a second place finish for the Pioneers. His distance also qualifies him for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships. He currently ranks 11^th nationally in the triple jump.

Earlier this season at the Utica College Pioneer Invitational in January, Skipper won the triple jump with a distance of 13.94 meters. He now has three second place finishes to his credit this season.

Skipper will return to action on March 10^th in Naperville Illinois for the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships.
