UTICA, NY - Senior guard, Ashelyne Babb was named the Utica College Female Athlete of the week on Monday for her latest athletic accomplishments against Alfred on Friday and Stevens on Saturday.

Against Alfred University, Babb became the 13th player in Utica College women’s basketball program history to score 1,000 career points. In that game she was responsible for 26 points, seven rebounds and five total assists.

 Against Stevens on Saturday she tallied 10 points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals.

This week Babb averaged 18.0 points, 5.5 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game against Empire 8 competition leading the Pioneers as they went 1-1 for the week.

With the season at an end, the Pioneers finished with an overall record of 9-16 and 5-11 in Empire 8 conference play. Babb ended her senior season averaging 12.0 points, 4.1 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.
