Utica University Athletics

Utica, NY – Keanu Heedram of the Utica College men’s indoor track and field team has been chosen as the UC Male Athlete of the Week for his performance over the weekend.
 
At the Hamilton College Continental Invitational last Friday, Heedram won the shot put event with a distance of 15.78 meters. This distance currently has Keanu ranked eighth in the country for the shot put, which at the moment qualifies him to compete at nationals at the end of the indoor season. He also placed third in the weight throw with a toss of 14.50 meters.
 
The Pioneers are scheduled to host the Pioneer Open this Saturday at the Hutton Sports Dome, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
