Utica, NY - Junior cornerback Elijah Belle of the Utica College football team has been named UC Male Athlete of the Week for his stand-out performance against St. John Fisher in a 34-28 win for the Pioneers.

Bell made one of the biggest plays of the game in the third quarter, intercepting a pass and taking it 49 yards to the house to give his team its largest lead of the game at that point, 28-14. This marked Belle's third interception of the year and his second pick-six.

With this win, UC advanced to 3-2 on the season and 1-1 in the Empire 8. They will lace it back up this Saturday, hosting Morrisville State for homecoming weekend at 1 p.m.
