Utica, NY - Junior guard Kimberly Soriano of the Utica College women's basketball team has been named UC Female Athlete of the Week for her performances last week against Hamilton and Morrisville State.
Soriano was the lone Pioneer to finish scoring in double digits against Hamilton, pouring in five 3-pointers en route to a 17-point game. This marked a season high for Soriano. The Queens, New York native kept her stride on Saturday, finishing with 13 points and seven rebounds in a 81-64 win over the Mustangs.
The 7-3 UC women's basketball will return to action on Friday, January 3, as it will host Union College in a non-conference matchup at 4 p.m.
