Genna McCallum has been named a Pioneer Athlete of the Week for the week of April 27th

Freshman pole vaulter Genna McCallum had a standout Friday showing at the Capital District Classic in Troy, NY, finally breaking through to achieve a new school record in addition to taking home first place in her specific event. McCallum, who spent numerous weeks tying the previous program record of 3.20m, managed to leap past that previous mark, notching a 3.35m vault to set the new all-time program best while defeating all other vaulters to claim first place. 

McCallum and the Pioneers will head to St. John Fisher this weekend for the Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
