The Utica College field hockey team fell to Oneonta 3-1 on Friday afternoon in non-conference play.
Senior Carla Behe (Little Falls/Little Falls) scored the lone goal for the Pioneers when she scored an unassisted goal early in the first half. Behe dribbled into the circle and put the ball in the back of the net just nine minutes into the game.
The Pioneers out shot Oneonta 20-11 and also took more penalty corners, 13-3, that Oneonta, but could only tally one goal.
Sophomore Amanda McDonnell (Portsmouth Abby/Sagamore Beach, MA) had four saves on the day.
The Pioneers' record now stands at 8-5 overall. They will return to action Saturday, October 21st at 1:00 p.m. when they travel to Brockport in non-conference play.
