UTICA, NY - The UC women's volleyball team defeated visiting SUNYIT in straight sets of 30-18, 30-22, 30-19, Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers are now 7-17 overall.
Karen Crisanti (Geneva, NY/Geneva) tallied ten kills for the Pioneers in three games, while defensively she added nine digs. Freshman
Melissa Austin (Castorland, NY/Beaver River), who was recently named UC's female athlete of the week, had six kills for the Pioneers.
Utica has one game remaining before the Empire 8 championship. The Pioneers will play at Oswego tomorrow at 7:00 pm.
