Carla Behe (Little Falls/Little Falls) and Jen King (Chesapeake/ Pasedena, MD) of the Utica College women's field hockey team were selected Thursday to participate in the 2006 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior All-Star game. The game will be played on Saturday, November 18th at William Smith College in Geneva, NY at 9:30 a.m.

Behe, a former All-American, ranks third on the Pioneers with 13 points (five assists, four goals) and second in the Empire 8 Conference with 61 shots this season. Behe ranks second on the Pioneers all-time scoring list with 22 goals and 38 assists good for 82 points in 68 career games. She is the college's all-time leader in assists, a record that will stand for years to come. Former UC standout and All-American Shannon Rohacek (Little Falls/Little Falls) ranks second on the all-time assists list with 18 for her career.

Behe and King both played intricate roles in the college's first-ever bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2005.

King, a defensive juggernaut and team captain, played 67 games throughout her four year career and made a name for herself with out ever recording a shot on goal. With King in the backfield the past four seasons the Pioneers have allowed an average of 2.01 goals against per game, including a stellar 1.33 goals against per game in the 2004 campaign.

Utica (9-6, 3-2 Empire 8) defeated rival Hartwick College 3-2 Wednesday night in the final home game for seniors Behe, King, Amanda Iannello (VVS/Verona), Lindsay Whittet (Hoosick Falls/Hoosick Falls), and Jackie Higgins (Taunton/ Taunton, MA). Utica will return to action Sunday against host Washington Jefferson at 12:00 p.m.
