The Utica College field hockey team won its fifth straight game Wednesday 1-0 against visiting Geneseo in non-conference action at Charles A. Gaetano stadium.
The lone goal of the game was scored by junior Laurie Calvasina just twelve minutes into the second half. Classmate Megan Zaklukiewicz assisted on the goal for the Pioneers.
Goalie Amanda McDonnell tallied five saves in her first shut out of year, while Megan COltoniak maden nine saves for Geneseo.
The Pioneers (8-3) will return to action on October 10th when they host RPI at 4 p.m.
