UTICA, NY – The Utica College women's volleyball team went 1-3 this past weekend at the Hartwick College Invitational. The Pioneers lone win of the tournament was against Baruch College 3-0 (30-23, 30-19, 31-29) on Friday.
Utica lost to Plattsburgh 0-3 (27-30, 19-30, 23-30), Hartwick 1-3 (18-30, 30-25, 27-30, 25-30) and its second game against Baruch 1-3 (23-30, 23-30, 30-26, 24-30).
Freshman
Melissa Austin (Castorland, NY/Beaver River) had a great weekend for the Pioneers, honorably making the All-Tournament team. Austin had a total of 44 kills and 78 digs on the weekend. Also hitting hard for the Pioneers was junior
Karen Crisanti (Geneva, NY/Geneva). Crisanti had 55 kills and 55 digs.
The UC women's Volleyball team travels Monday to SUNYIT. The Pioneers are now 5-14 overall
