FISHER RUNS PAST UC WOMEN'S LACROSSE

    ROCHESTER, NY- The Utica College women's lacrosse team (3-5, 1-1 E8) fell to St. John Fisher  (6-2, 2-0 E8) 17-6 Saturday in Empire 8 Conference action. Out of the Cardinal's seventeen goals, 10 players scored, four of which ended the day with four points.
    Ashley Fenyn (Newark/Newark) was first to score for Fisher, shooting in the first goal of the game at 24:12. Laurie Quackenbush (Penn Yan/Penn Yan) scored a few minutes later to tally her first goal of the day and 17th for the season. She would later score at 26:30 of the second half and tallied two assists to Trish Scudder (Corning East/Beaver Dams) and Caitlin Navor (Brighton/Rochester).
    Navor's goal came at 10:09 of the second half for her second goal of the season and she also gave assists for Scudder's, Geatrakas', and Glavin's goals. Lauren Glavin (Corcoran/Syracuse) also had four points on the day with two goals and two assists bringing her total up to 16 goals on the season.
    Theresa Nobilski (Brighton/Rochester) was the only Fisher player who received four points without scoring a goal. Her assists were credited to goals by Fenyn, Glavin, Haley Koperski (Brighton/Rochester), and Emma Stutzman (Corning East/Corning).
    Casey Pelletier (/) (Mercy/Middletown, CT), Jackie Vicencio (/) (Miller Place/Miller Place), and Jill Doherty (Wellesley, MA/Kents Hill)(Kents/Wellesley, MA) all offered up two goals for the Pioneers, while Vicencio and Pelletier each were credited with one assist each.
    The Pioneers return to action Wednesday at 7 p.m. against visiting Hartwick College in Empire 8 conference action.
