The Utica College field hockey team lost to host Oneonta State 2-1 Wednesday evening. Senior forward Katie Kutas netted the lone goal for the Pioneers with three minutes to go in the contest.
Kutas scored her team-high 11th goal of the season late in the game off of an unassisted penalty corner. She scored the only goal for the Pioneers answering back to Oneonta's first two goals. Oneonta's Jacqueline Camp scored their first goal off a penalty stroke while teammate Ainsley Stoll scored the second goal off a penalty corner assisted by Amanda Farro and Jacqueline Camp. The Pioneers were out shot 19-7.
Senior goalkeeper Amanda McDonnell started her 16th game in goal totaling 10 saves for the Pioneers. The loss dropped the Pioneers to 7-9 overall and 3-3 in the Empire 8 Conference and improved Oneonta to 6-11 overall.
The Pioneers have lost three consecutive games and are looking to break the streak Saturday November 1st during their last regular season game when they host rival Skidmore College at 1 p.m.
