Sophomore Jon Wood (Derry, NH) netted his third goal of the season to knot the score up at 1-1 in the 57th minute but Hamilton rallied late and scored the game's final goal in the 68th minute to steal a 2-1 victory over the Pioneers in non conference play in Clinton, NY Wednesday afternoon.  Junior goalie Kevin Murphy (West Islip, NY) made seven saves in net UC.

The Pioneers are now 3-8-1 overall on the year and they have lost their last two games by one goal in each contest.  Hamilton improved to 7-3-1 with the victory. 

Jon Sanford opened the scoring on the day at the 11:13 mark of the first half when he netted his sixth goal of the season to give the Continentals a 1-0 lead. 

Wood netted the equalizer, unassisted, at the 57:04 mark before Hamilton answered with the game-winner at 68:50. 

The Pioneers return to Empire 8 Conference play Saturday when they travel to Crap Wood Field to take on Ithaca College.  The contest is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
