The Utica College men's soccer team out shot Alfred 15-12 and earned a 10-2 corner kick advantage in a 0-0 double overtime tie in Empire 8 Conference play Sunday.  Junior goalie Kevin Murphy (West Islip, NY) made four stops to preserve the tie for the Pioneers.

UC is now 3-6-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference play headed into Friday's conference match up against visiting RIT at 7 p.m. The Saxons are now 5-4-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the E8. 

The Pioneers are 3-0-1 against the Saxons, outscoring them by a margin of 9-1, over the course of their last four meetings. 

Utica out shot the Saxons 9-5 in the second half but they could not seem to find the back of the net as they tied for the first time since September 10th of last season. 

Freshman forward DJ Ilebani(Abuja, Nigeria), the team's leading scorer with four goals this season, led the way for UC with three shots on the day.
