The Utica College softball team split a double header against visiting Nazareth College Friday afternoon at Greenman field. UC lost game one 5-4, before earning a 4-0 shut out victory in game two. The Pioneers rallied in the bottom of the seventh in game one, scoring four runs, but they fell just short as the Golden Flyers held on for a one run victory. Senior pitcher Andrea Curley struck out seven batters en route to her sixth fifth victory of the season in game two. Sophomore phenom Kim Martin went 6-for-7 at the plate and scored three runs on the day for the Pioneers.
