PIONEERS FALL SHORT AT RIT DESPITE SECOND HALF RALLY

The Utica College women's lacrosse team lost 9-7 at host RIT in an Empire 8 Conference contest Friday afternoon. UC tied the score at 5-5 after scoring the first three goals of the second half, but the Tigers netted four of the game's final six goals as they earned the key conference victory. Team leading scorer Tammy Kohanski netted three goals to pace the Pioneers, while sophomore Lily Fleskes added two goals of her own. Freshman goalie Shelby Barbay stopped 14 shots for UC in the loss.
