The Utica College women's volleyball team lost four games this past weekend, in the Oswego Tournament, at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Oswego, NY. Sophomore Mimi O'Hara led the Pioneers with 61 assists and 19 digs. Senior Heather Jackson (Weare, NH/John Stark Regional) also added 18 kills and 21 digs for Utica.

In game one on Friday, the Pioneers lost to hometown rival SUNYIT (25-14, 25-12, 25-15). Setter Mimi O'Hara (Highland Falls, NY/James I. O'Neill) had a game-high 18 assists and also added five digs. Heather Jackson (Weare, NH/John Stark Regional) tallied eight digs, four kills and one service ace for UC and Alicia Andrianos (Memphis, NY/Jordan Elbridge) added six kills and three digs.

In the second match on Friday, Utica lost 3-0 to D'Youville College of Buffalo, NY (25-12, 25-7, 25-19). Mimi O'hara totaled 11 assists and five digs. Junior middle hitter Aundrea Dorie (Mount Markham, NY /Mount Markham) added three kills and six digs, while Alicia Andrianos (Memphis, NY/Jordan Elbridge) tallied four kills and three digs for UC.

On Saturday, the Pioneers lost Morrisville 3-0 (25-6, 25-23, 25-15) in game one. O'Hara racked up 17 assists, three service aces and three digs for UC. Heather Jackson (Weare, NH/John Stark Regional) totaled 10 kills, six digs and one service ace. Aundrea Dorie (Mount Markham, NY /Mount Markham) added 10 digs and a block for Utica.

In the last match, the Pioneers played D'Youville College again, however couldn't pull out a victory, and lost 3-0 (25-13, 25-13, 25-14). Middle hitter Stephanie Dew (Boxford, Mass. /Masconomet) recorded seven kills for UC. Setter Mimi O'Hara (Highland Falls, NY/James I. O'Neill) had another team-high 15 assists as well as six digs in the loss.

The Pioneers (1-22) return to action Friday Oct. 22 as they travel to Ithaca, NY to compete in the Empire 8 Cross-Over Tournament.
