The Utica College football team (2-0) looks to win its third straight game for the first time in the program's ten year history as the Pioneers take on R.P.I. (1-0) in the Pioneers home opener Saturday at 1 p.m. on the turf at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. The Pioneers are coming off of two impressive wins over Becker College, and most recently Castleton State, outscoring their opponents by a combined score of 137-41. Two weeks into the season the Pioneers boast the highest scoring offense in the country (D1/D1AA/D2/D3) with 137 points, good for an average of 68.5 points per game. (

UC hopes to change its fortune this week against R.P.I., after falling to the Engineers 17-14 in a tight battle one year ago. UC is 1-6 all-time against RPI with its last victory coming on Sept. 18, 2004 when the Pioneers won 9-7.
