The Utica College women's volleyball team lost, 3-0, to local rival Hamilton College (23-25, 11-25, 14-25). The Pioneers fall to 1-17 overall, while the Continentals improve to 7-6 on the season.
Sophomore Mimi O'Hara (Highland Falls, NY/James I. O'Neill) (Highland Falls, NY) led the UC with 11 assists and eight digs. O'Hara is second on the team in assists (82). Junior Audrey Cross (White Lake, NY) and sophomore Alicia Andrianos (Memphis, NY/Jordan Elbridge) (Memphis, NY) both added six kills. Cross also had her team-leading service ace, giving her 20 on the season
The Pioneers return to action next Wednesday Oct. 6 as they travel across town to challenge SUNYIT for their third non-conference match this season. On Sept. 4, the Wildcats beat UC twice in a double-header to open up the season at the SUNYIT Gymnasium, Marcy N.Y. SUNYIT is currently 7-4 overall this season.
