Keuka, N.Y. (10/29/2011) – The Utica College volleyball team capped its 2011 campaign with a 3-1 victory over Morrisville State at the Keuka Tri-Match Saturday.  The Pioneers dropped the first game 25-15, before rallying for three straight wins to earn the victory.  UC won games two and three 25-21 and capped the victory with a 28-26 win in game four. 

Freshman setter Kellee Furno (Baltimore, MD/Maryvalle) posted 34 assists, while Alyssa Nicotera (New York Mills, NY/New York Mills) added 16 digs and a team-best 14 kills in the win over the Mustangs.  Mimi O'Hara (Highland Falls, NY/James I. O'Neill) registered a game-high six service aces for UC.  Ashley Jones (Charlton, NY/Galway) and Mariah Walker (Frankfort, NY/Franfort-Schuyler) each posted eight kills in the Pioneer victory. 

UC (3-31) lost to host Keuka, 3-0, in its first match of the day.  Furno posted 14 assists in the loss to the Storm.  Sophomore libero Leah Kazalski (Greene, NY/Greene) registered ten digs and Ashley Jones (Charlton, NY/Galway) added four kills.
