Reilly Strikes a Career-Best 75 at Hamilton Invite

Utica, NY (10-9-11) - The Utica College men's golf team shot a 348 on day two of the Hamilton College Invitational Sunday at the Skenandoa Golf Club.  Sophomore Mike Reilly (Colton, NY /Colton Pierrepont) led the Pioneers as he carded a career-best 75 on day one.

Reilly placed 35th overall as he totaled 159, shooting a 75 at the Yahnundasis Golf Club and an 84 on day two.

Junior John Gaspa (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) placed second for UC and 71st overall as he shot a two-day total of 167.  The Whitesboro native shot 85 on day one and turned in an 82 on day two.

Utica placed 16th overall with a two-day total of 695, shooting a 347 on day one and a 348 on day two.

The Pioneers wrap up their Fall 2011 season with a team average of 352.5 over the course of eight rounds.  As a four-man team, UC averaged an individual round of 88 per golfer.  Utica shot its season-best, 337, as the host of the UC Invitational on Sept. 4 at the Kanon Valley Country Club.
