The Utica College men's soccer team is set to host the Utica College Invitational Saturday afternoon on the brand new turf at Charles A. Gaetano Stadium. The Pioneers will take on Colby-Sawyer at noon before Hunter takes the field to square off against Sage at 3 p.m. Fans can follow all the action from home through live video and stats.

The Pioneers will be led up top by sophomore Jonathon Peterson (Bedford, NH/New Hampton), junior DJ Ilebani (Abuja, Nigeria/Intl. School of Kenya) and senior captain Jon Wood. Also adding to the Pioneers offensive unit will be sophomore Kevin McAllister (Boxford, MA/Masconomet Regional), who looks to improve on his one goal and two assists of a year ago.

UC's defensive unit will be led by senior captain Shane Witteman and sophomore Chris Ferullo (Redding, CT/Joel Barlow) in the back alongside goaltender Anthony Caruso (Easton, CT/Joel Barlow). Caruso is coming off a huge freshman campaign where he posted 11 victories, including four shut outs, to go along with a 1.09 goals against average.

The Pioneers, led by first year Head Coach Eric Watson, enjoyed their most successful season in program-history last fall after posting a school-record 12-6-1 overall record. UC also finished ranked sixth in the nation in scoring offense with 55 goals and an average of 2.89 goals per game.
