Utica, NY (1-19-12) – The Utica College women's hockey team returns to the ice this weekend, following a nine day break from action, against ECAC West rival SUNY Potsdam for a home-and-home weekend series.
Face-Off: On Saturday, UC travels to Potsdam, NY to visit the Bears before returning to the friendly confines of the Utica Memorial Auditorium on Sunday … The puck is set to drop at 4 p.m. on both days.
Pioneers This Season: Utica is currently 6-8 overall this season, including a 3-5 ledger in the ECAC Women's West Conference … After a three-game win streak, early in December, the Pioneers have dropped two-straight one goal games to nationally-ranked No. 11 Manhatttanville and No. 4 Middlebury.

Megan Myers (Las Vegas, NV/LA Selects) currently ranks 13th in the country in points per game (1.36 P/GM) … She leads the team in points (19), goals (seven) and assists (12) ... 11 of her 19 points have come in conference play.

Jennifer Hamel (Ithaca, NY/Northwood School) has a 5-5 record in net for the Pioneers while recording 314 stops … Her .937 save percentage ranks 12th in the nation … She has allowed just 21 goals on 335 shots and her 2.11 goals against average is 26th in the nation.
Introducing the Bears: SUNY Potsdam is currently 7-7-1 overall while holding a 4-7-1 mark in ECAC Women's West action … The Bears are riding the highs a three-game win streak as they beat Castleton St. and swept Cortland, all on the road … Potsdam has won five of their last six games, losing only to nationally-ranked No. 6 Plattsburgh, 5-2 ... Utica is 4-1-1 all-time against Potsdam.
Back in Action: The Pioneers are back on the ice next weekend for a pair of games against ECAC West foe Neumann University at “The Aud” … Face-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday evening and 3 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
