Utica, NY (10/24/12)- The Utica College women's volleyball team travels to Troy, NY Wednesday for its second-to-last match of the season as it takes on the Sage Gators. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Madison Bayer (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) registered ten kills, four aces, two blocks and 17 digs, while classmate,
Alyssa Nicotera (New York Mills, NY/New York Mills) led the team with 21 digs.
Leading the Way: Bayer leads the team in kills (192) and aces (22) and is second in digs (179)... Classmate
Kellee Furno (Baltimore, MD/Maryvalle) has a team-high 287 assists and is second with 21 service aces…
Briona Enny (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) also leads the team with 261 digs and Haley Strife has totaled 61 blocks on the season.
Scouting Sage: The Gators are currently 20-8 overall and 8-1 in the skyline conference… They are coming off a two-game sweep in conference play on Saturday as they defeated both Farmingdale State and Old Westbury, 3-0… Sage is led by junior Joanie Cooney, and sophomores Helen Putriment and Katelyn Drollette… Cooney has a team-high 796 assists, while Putriment has 249 kills, and is second with 327 digs, behind Drollette's team-leading 356 digs… Sage narrowly squeaked by Utica in their meeting earlier this year, winning 3-2.
Looking Ahead: The Pioneers wrap up their season Saturday as they travel to Cazenovia for a non-conference match against the Wildcats… Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
