Pioneers set to volley the host Lakers at 2 p.m.
Box Score Utica N.Y (10/06/12) - The Utica College women's volleyball team fell in three straight sets (25-11, 25-9, 25-14) to the now 15 - 2 SUNY Canton Kangaroos at the Oswego Invitational on Saturday.
The Pioneers continue at the Oswego State tournament Saturday afternoon as they square off against the host
Lakers at 2 p.m. Following this weekend, UC returns to the hardwood Wednesday as they cross town to challenge SUNYIT at 7:00 pm in Marcy, NY.
Sophomore Cassandra Mazur led the fight for the Pioneer's with six kills and four digs, despite 3 errors.

Madison Bayer (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) and
Ashley Jones (Charlton, NY/Galway) along with junior
Liz Sacco (Franklin, Mass. /Franklin) and freshman
Shauna Murray (Trumansburg, NY/Charles O. Dickerson) each registered two kills while sophomores Kelle Furno and
Alyssa Nicotera (New York Mills, NY/New York Mills) tallied one kill apiece.
Sophomore Kelle Furno led UC with 13 assists while teammate sophomore
Ashley Noble (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) chipped in with one.
Bayer and sophomore
Briona Enny (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) combined for 15 digs on the afternoon while Furno and Murray added four each for the Pioneers.
UC falls to 5-13 overall on the season while SUNY Canton moves to 15-2 overall and continues its win streak to eight straight.
