First Source 'Pucks For Posters Night' Set For Friday Night at The Aud

The 3rd Annual First Source 'Pucks for Posters' Night is Friday as the Pioneers take on Elmira at 7 p.m.
Utica, NY (11/12/2012) - The Utica College men's hockey team is set to host Elmira College for an ECAC Men's West Conference match-up on Friday night at 7 p.m.  The Pioneers have teamed up with First Source Federal Credit Union to host the third annual “Pucks for Posters Night” in support of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children – New York/Mohawk Valley. As a sponsor of Pucks For Posters Night, First Source and UC Hockey Fans will help raise awareness and funds to support the mission of NCMEC-NY/MV, including targeted poster distribution and community education on prevention of child exploitation and abduction. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Ride For Missing Children.

First Source will be selling advance tickets at their New Hartford location (4451 Commercial Drive) at a discounted price ($4) with the proceeds going to the ride.

Once again the nights national anthem will be performed by recently retired Sgt. Harry Henry, from New York State Police Troop D. He will be joined by Law Enforcement and children, representing the importance our law enforcement has in keeping our children safe, and helping to bring our missing children home.

The ceremonial puck drop will be performed by recovered missing child Kristine Bellino of Utica, Frank Williams, Chairman of the Ride For Missing Children and Tom Neumann, Executive Vice President/COO of First Source Federal Credit Union.

First intermission: On ice entertainment will be a dodge ball challenge between Ride for Missing Children participants: Riders versus Shepherds. We are looking for riders to join a fun game of dodge ball (5 minutes of play) on the ice. We ask that you wear your jerseys & sneakers!! Please email Pamela Way (pway@fsource.org) if you are interested.

There will be posters of missing children all around the Aud that night in hopes that everyone who goes to the game will look at them. We will stress the importance of parents talking to their kids about safety. Men and women's wristbands will be on sale for $1 each, Plus Child ID Kits, cycling raffles and more at various booths throughout the concourse.

Second intermission: On-ice entertainment will be provided by Big Frog and First Source Federal Credit Union. Mascot race and raffle drawing. Chuck-a-puck!
