KISSIMMEE, FL (3-11-12)- The Utica College softball team lost its first game at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, FL. UC was trailing Springfield College 6-1 before the game was called at the top of the seventh inning due to rain.
The Pioneers got on the board in the bottom of the second when freshman
Courtney Fitzgerald (Albany, NY/Colonie Central) hit an RBI single to drive in
Mallory Ingalls (Oriskany, NY/Oriskany) from second.
UC was scheduled to play again at 1 p.m. but the game has been cancelled. The Pioneers return to action Monday as they take on Endicott College at 1 p.m.
