Utica, NY (3/8/12)- The Utica College women's lacrosse team looks to rebound Saturday, as it travels to Troy, NY to take on The Sage Gators at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out: UC is fresh off a 9-6 defeat in its season opener against Skidmore… Janet Campo (Centerport, NY/Harborfields) and Katlyn Banker (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) paced the Pioneers with two goals each, while freshmen Samantha Gebler (Vestal, NY/Vestal) and Megan Kane (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) each netted one goal in their first collegiate game… Senior goalie Shelby Barbay (Waterloo, NY/Waterloo) stopped nine shots for the Pioneers. 

Scouting Sage: The Gators open their season Friday as they host Regis College… Sage finished last season 0-9 overall and 0-8 in the Skyline Conference… The Gators are led by senior Ginelle Butler, who has 30 goals and four assists in her career… This is the first meeting between the two teams.

Looking Ahead: UC returns to action after spring break as it travels to nearby Marcy, NY to take on first-year program, SUNYIT… Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
