Box Score Plattsburgh, NY (9/25/2012) - Plattsburgh's Nick Parrella headed home the lone goal of the contest, his third of the season, to lift the Cardinal's to a 1-0 victory over visiting Utica College on Tuesday night. 

Plattsburgh (1-0) continued its undefeated season, while the Pioneers dropped to 4-5 on the year headed into a match-up at nationally-ranked No. 25 Williams College on Saturday.

UC had its chances in the second half, as it matched the Cardinal's shot total (3-3), and earned six corner kicks.  But time ran out on the Pioneers' bid to spoil the home squad's perfect season. 

Erik Hakim was credited with an assist on the Cardinal's game-winner, which came in the 32nd minute of the contest. Plattsburgh outshot the Pioneers 11-2 in the first half of play en route to its 1-0 lead.

Anthony Caruso (Easton, CT/Joel Barlow) made three saves as the Pioneers' lost their fourth one goal game of the season.
