Box Score Rochester, NY (9/26/12)- The Utica College volleyball team fell to Empire 8 opponent, St. John Fisher in straight sets (25-13, 25-19, 25-17) Wednesday night. Sophomore
Kellee Furno (Baltimore, MD/Maryvalle) led the way for the Pioneers with a team-high 11 assists as well as seven digs.
Sophomores
Briona Enny (Queensbury, NY/Queensbury) and
Madison Bayer (Islip Terrace, NY/East Islip) also had impressive outings for UC. Enny had nine digs, while Bayer recorded ten kills.
Fisher improves to 3-12 (2-1 Empire 8) on the year, while Utica drops to 5-8 (1-3 E8). UC returns to action Saturday as it hosts Nazareth College for an Empire 8 match up. The contest is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. at the Clark Athletic Center.
