Utica, NY (/8/12)- The Utica College volleyball team went 1-1 Saturday, as it traveled to Hamburg, NY for the Hilbert Invitational. UC beat Alfred University 3-1 in game one and lost to host Hilbert College 3-2 in the fifth set losing 3-2.
Sophomore
Cassandra Manzer (Portcrane, NY/Chenango Valley) had 24 kills, while classmates
Chelsea Lauria (Erieville, NY/Cazenovia) and
Kellee Furno (Baltimore, MD/Maryvalle) combined for 64 assists in the two games.
The Pioneers improved to 3-1 overall on the season and return to action Wednesday as they head to SUNY Cobleskill to challenge the Fighting Tigers.
