Box Score Houghton, NY (10/5/13)- The Utica College men's soccer team had its two-game winning streak snapped as it fell to Houghton College, 1-0, Saturday afternoon.  Anthony Caruso (Easton, CT/Joel Barlow) had four saves in the loss.

Houghton got on the board in the 24th minute as junior Cory Brautigam netted his first tally of the year, off an assist from freshman Landon Sheaffer, who tallied his team-best 13th point.

Despite outshooting the Highlanders 5-4 in the second half, Utica was not able to net the equalizer as it dropped to 5-6 on the season.  Kevin McAllister (Boxford, MA/Masconomet Regional) led the team with two shots on goal.  Jacob Dunnett made two saves in the win to help Houghton improve to 8-1-1.

The Pioneers return to action Wednesday as they host Cazenovia College. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
